American Red Cross of Southern Arizona $7,500 "Kids Safe Alone" program, which teaches safety and first aid training to "latchkey" children
Assistance League of Tucson $5,000 "Operation School Bell," a clothing program for impoverished children referred by Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) staff
El Rio Birth and Women's Health Centers $5,300 to expand the postpartum mother and baby support groups, which encourage bonding and breastfeeding for healthier infants
Casa de los Ninos' $5,000 "Family Respite Care Program," which aims to prevent child abuse and child neglect in families that are experiencing crisis
Community Home Repair Projects of Arizona $10,000 emergency home repair program for low-income seniors and vulnerable families.
Humane Society of Southern Arizona $2,200 "Safe Haven Fund," a partnership between domestic violence shelters and law enforcement agencies that benefits pets of crime victims
Our Town Family Center $10,000 "Teens in Transition" program, which offers case-management and shelter services for homeless and nearly homeless teens
Pediatric Foundation of Arizona $5,000 "Reach Out and Read Southern Arizona," a partnership with pediatricians that promotes family literacy
Physics Factory $5,000 which creates enthusiasm for science by giving creative physics demonstrations at schools, Boys & Girls Clubs and youth groups
Primavera Foundation $10,000 "Greyhound Family Shelter", which offers case-management and shelter services to homeless families
the Salvation Army Amphi Corps $5,000 an education-oriented partnership between neighborhoods and Prince Elementary that promotes family literacy
St. Elizabeth's Health Center $10,000 medication assistance program for uninsured and underinsured seniors
Tucson Pima Arts Council $5,000 "ArtWorks Academy," a collaboration between the council, TUSD and the Tucson Museum of Art to provide an alternative education program for artistic teens
Tucson Symphony Society $10,000 "Music in the Schools/Young People's Concerts," which provide in-school music education to 15,500 students to enhance learning
Tucson Zoological Society $5,000 for teacher workshops, science curriculum and field trips for middle schools

American Red Cross' Southern Arizona Chapter $7,500 Lifesaving Aquatics Training designed to reduce the number of children who drown in Pima County
Arizona Theatre Company $5,000 Student Matinee Series, which includes classroom curriculum for arts education
Compass Health Care Inc. $5,000 Children First Program, which assists children of recovering addicts who are participating in the Pima County Juvenile Court's Family Drug Court process
El Rio Foundation $6,000 Inner-City Asthma Intervention Program, which provides in-home allergen testing, medical equipment, supplies and individualized asthma treatment for 100 medically underserved youth
Intermountain Centers $5,000 Human Development for Life Skills Program. The program helps youths transition from foster care to independent living
La Paloma Family Services $5,000 Amparo de los Angeles (Shelter of the Angels) program, provides residential services for teen mothers in foster care and their children
Northern Arizona University Senior Corps $5,000 hire a part-time volunteer coordinator to expand its Foster Grandparent Program. The program serves elementary schools in Apache County, home of TEP's Springerville Generating Station
Open Inn $10,000 Project Safe Place, a nationally acclaimed outreach program for youth in crisis and the homeless
Our Family Services $7,500 for Teens in Transition, which provides assistance to those ages 13 to 21 who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness
Sahuaro Girl Scout Council $5,000 Engage 80 girls being served by Arizona's Children, New Beginnings and Casa de los Ninos in preventive strategies designed to help them succeed in life
Teen Outreach Pregnancy Services $5,000 Outreach educational pregnancy testing and counseling to adolescents
Tucson Symphony Society $5,000 expand its award-winning Music in the Schools program
Young Women's Christian Association $5,000 TECHgyrls program. The technology education program serves 375 young women and girls in the Pima County Juvenile Detention Center and the Sunnyside and Tucson Unified School Districts
